What is METARVUE?
METARVUE is a dedicated aviation weather display that transforms complex weather reports into an easy-to-read visual format. It continuously displays decoded METARs, TAFs, flight categories, runway winds, sunrise/sunset information, and more for your selected airports.
Does METARVUE require a subscription?
No. METARVUE includes access to aviation weather data and software updates without a mandatory monthly subscription. Optional future services, such as cellular connectivity or premium WNDSOX network features, may be offered separately.
How many airports can I monitor?
METARVUE can display up to 10 airports in a customizable rotation. You can also instantly call up additional airports using the optional wireless keyboard feature.
What happens if my airport does not report METARs or TAFs?
METARVUE automatically identifies and displays the nearest available reporting station, providing weather and forecast information even for many non-reporting airports and private airfields.
How do I configure METARVUE?
Setup is performed through a built-in web portal. Simply connect to your METARVUE from a phone, tablet, or computer to configure Wi-Fi, airports, display settings, personal minimums, and other preferences.
Can I mount METARVUE on a wall?
Yes. METARVUE is designed for both wall-mounted and desktop installations, making it ideal for home offices, pilot lounges, flight schools, FBOs, hangars, and aviation-themed spaces.
Does METARVUE receive software updates?
Yes. METARVUE supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing new features, enhancements, and improvements to be installed wirelessly without returning the unit for service.
Can I customize what is displayed?
Absolutely. You can customize airport rotations, display modes, personal weather minimums, user-created slides, and other settings to match your flying preferences and information needs.

Is METARVUE intended for operational flight planning?
No. METARVUE is designed as a situational awareness and informational display. Pilots should always obtain official weather briefings, NOTAMs, TFRs, and flight planning information from approved aviation sources before every flight.
What is the WNDSOX Network and Nodes?
The WNDSOX Network is a planned local weather ecosystem made up of compatible WNDSOX nodes. A node is a nearby weather station that can provide live local conditions, allowing METARVUE to display on-site wind and weather data alongside aviation weather sources when supported.
